What Is Kosmos Social Club?
Kosmos Social Club, formerly Kosmos Over 50 Singles, is a club for individuals or couples, 50+, in the Tri-Cities area of Washington State.
Kosmos hosts social functions, activities, and assorted recreational events as suggested by members. We welcome those who are looking for new friends who want to participate in activities.
History
Kosmos Over 50 Singles began in August 1999 with 12-15 members as a social group to form friendships and to plan organized social activities. The Club has grown to an average annual membership of over 100 people. Many long-term friendships have developed and continue today. Many singles have become couples, and so in 2020 we became Kosmos Social Club to be more inclusive.
Activities have changed from dinner and dancing once a week to lunches or dinners twice a week at local restaurants. We also now schedule breakfasts, weekly walks, game/card days or nights, BBQs, movies, plays, and concerts. We have gone on several cruises and wine-tasting tours, to hockey and baseball games, and tours of local museums and attractions. We support many local celebrations or events as a group. The Club celebrates major holidays with events in members' homes or yards, or in local parks or restaurants. As a member of Kosmos, there are always activities to look forward to—and no need to be alone.
