LEADER'S MESSAGE

Hi, Kosmos Friends!

November is upon us, with colder nights and much shorter days. It's also the start of the busy holiday season.

Amid holiday bazaars, shopping, prepping for houseguests and the BIG Thanksgiving meal, it's easy to forget the reason why we celebrate. Thanksgiving is only one day, but it is a day of gratitude to reflect on all that we've been blessed with and to reminisce about holidays past.

Thanksgiving is also a reminder of just how much we have, and to help those who aren't as fortunate.

I hope you will join us for our annual Christmas party on December 12th. It's guaranteed to be a good time! Visit with old friends and make new acquaintances while enjoying a delicious meal!

Game Day is hosted by Gloria E. in Kennewick. Please bring finger food, or a dessert to share, and your own beverage. (Gloria says that the location where Game Day will be is carpeted, so please consider that when choosing your beverage, as she wants to avoid possible spills of beverages that could stain.)

A wide variety of card and board games will be available—or you can bring your favorite game to enjoy with others.

Please be sure to call Gloria so she knows you are planning to attend!

MONTHLY MOVIE MATINEE

You will be e-mailed or called, prior to the 19th, regarding the choice of movie and the time.

If you are interested in attending the movie matinee, please RSVP to Donna by phone call or text by Monday, November 17, two days before the movie. There will be a badged Kosmos host in the theater lobby to greet you. The senior price for the movie that day is $6.00.

Another fun afternoon of Bunco is scheduled for this month. Bunco is a dice game with players divided into groups of four who try to score points while taking turns rolling three dice. Winners at the end of a series of games win money.

For our Bunco Party, you need to bring $5.50 in one-dollar bills and quarters, plus an appetizer or dessert to share, and your own non-alcoholic beverage. Bottled water will be provided.

If you plan to attend, please call hostess Sue R. and let her know!

Directions: The Richland Library is located at the corner of Northgate Drive and Swift Blvd., in Richland, kitty-corner from Kadlec Hospital.

Like leaves in November, sometimes we must let go to show our true colors.

Come join other Kosmos members and friends for a fun day of socializing and eating great food. You will have a chance to win one of nine gift-card door prizes or one of six gift cards from the Fairchild Movie theater in Pasco.

There will be an "icebreaker" played during our social hour. The Christmas Dinner includes a salad bar, choice of sliced ham or turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and pie. You can purchase alcoholic beverages and soft drinks at the bar.

Tickets are on sale now!!! The last day to purchase your tickets is Friday, December 5th. The price is $25 for members, and $30 for guests. Please join us!!!

You can purchase your tickets at our breakfast or at one of our dinners or at any other events from Marsha H., Sandy R., Sue R., or Donna W.

HOW TO JOIN THE KOSMOS FACEBOOK GROUP PAGE

If you would like to be added to the Kosmos Social Club Facebook Group page, simply search under Groups for Kosmos Social Club.

Facebook Groups can be found by clicking on the Groups link on the main Facebook screen (browsers vary, so your screen may look different than others). Then type Kosmos Social Club in the Search box.

Once you find our Group page, you should find a box to click on to request to join the Group. When you do so, our Facebook Administrator Sharon G. will get a notification, and she will approve requests from any bona fide (currently paid) Kosmos member.

Please e-mail, text, or call Sharon if you have issues with finding our Facebook Group page, or if you just want to let her know that you have submitted a request.
