Hi, Kosmos Friends!
February is best known for Valentine's Day, but we can't forget Groundhog Day, Presidents Day, the Superbowl, and Black History Month!
By the time you read this, we'll know if the Seattle Seahawks will be playing in the Super Bowl on February 8th. [They are!] Their last appearance was in 2014, so it's time for another go at the title!
I'm also looking forward to our luncheon on February 24th at noon at Ice Harbor Brewing Company Pub at 10 E. Bruneau Ave., adjacent to the Public Market in Kennewick. The building was previously a Welch's Juice Plant before being reinvented as the brewery. Sue R. will be hosting.
I look forward to seeing you at our February events!

Longtime Activites Leader Carolyn W. is no longer able to fill this role for Kosmos. We need someone to volunteer to take the lead in planning activites. We also need a few members to help the Activities Leader come up with new ideas for ways for our members to gather for fun and entertainment.
If you could help fill this critical leadership role—or even assist by being on an Activities Committee—please contact any one of the Leaders on the Kosmos Board. Contact information is shown on the Board listing in the postal mail and e-mail editions of this newsletter.
All Kosmos members are welcome to attend Board Meetings, so come join us for lunch or the meeting—or both.

Our February Game Day falls on Valentine's Day. Game Days are hosted by Gloria E. in Kennewick.
Please bring finger food or a dessert to share—and your own beverage
The game venue is carpeted, so please consider this when choosing your beverage, as we want to avoid possible spills of beverages that could stain.
A wide variety of card and board games will be available, or you can bring your favorite game to enjoy with others.
Please be sure to call Gloria so that she knows you are planning to attend!
For more details about this and other newsletter items, please see the postal mail or e-mail versions of this newsletter.

Another fun afternoon of Bunco is scheduled this month. Bunco is a dice game with players divided into groups of four who try to score points while taking turns rolling three dice. Winners at the end of a series of games win money.
For our Bunco Party, you need to bring $5.50 in one-dollar bills and quarters, plus an appetizer or dessert to share, and your own non-alcoholic beverage. Bottled water will be provided.
We meet at the Richland Library in either meeting room A or B, depending on room availability. The meeting rooms are located just to the right when you come into the Library, near the Friends of the Library book sales and coffee shop.
If you plan to attend, please call hostess Sue R. and let her know.
Directions: The Richland Library is located at the corner of Northgate Drive and Swift Blvd., in Richland, kitty-corner from Kadlec Hospital.
