Hi Kosmos Members!
I want to welcome our new Board, Leaders, and Coordinators for our 2024-2025 Kosmos year. Thank you all for volunteering your time!
A friendly reminder to all members that it is time to renew your annual membership of $25.00, with $20.00 more if you want your calendar and newsletter mailed to you for the year.
I am encouraging you all to keep your calendar on the fridge, or in a spot you will see daily, and mark the events you want to attend so you don't miss out. I put mine on my phone calendar as it pops up the day of the event. The more events you attend the more opportunities you have to get to know our group better and to make friends. We are sending out a year-end membership list with the postal mail and e-mail versions of this newsletter so you can call people and go to events together.
I hope you all have been enjoying the Summer. I look forward to seeing you during the year ahead.
—Sue R., Kosmos Leader

Kosmos Social Club annual membership fees are now due for the 2024-25 year. We ended the 2023-24 Kosmos fiscal year with 90 members. A list is included with the postal mail and e-mail versions of this newsletter. We hope to grow even larger and stronger this coming year!
Your annual donations are used to support Kosmos' outings such as our Memorial Day and Labor Day picnics and to entitle you to a significant discount on tickets to our gala Christmas party.
Your membership renewal, accompanied by a Membership Form (included with the postal mail and e-mail versions of this newsletter, and available on the Kosmos Social Club Website), can be mailed to Kosmos, P.O. Box 4506, Pasco, WA, 99302, or can be given to one of our Leaders at any dinner or other Kosmos event. If your contact information (address, phone, e-mail) has not changed, you need only insert your name and signature on the form with your money or check. But a form MUST accompany your membership fee.
The Activity Committee would like to know how many members are interested in games of darts or pool. Are you interested in being more active than simply getting together to eat at restaurants? We would love to schedule weekly or monthly games of darts and/or pool, which could include food and drink.
Please let us know your interest by contacting Roger J.

Anything Goes Show
Kennewick Eagles
115 N. Fruitland
Kennewick
4:00 - 6:00 PM
One of our Kosmos members, Gloria E., is among the several costumed dance group dancers and singers performing in the Anything Goes show to benefit animals at local pet shelters. Doors open at 3:15 PM for this annual event.
Sadly, due to inflation, many animals are being abandoned. The lucky ones are given to shelters. This show raises money for our local shelters to buy food for these animals until adopted. Last year, $2,500 was raised and food was provided to five shelters in our area.
Tickets are $12, and are on sale now by calling Diane L. or Sandi F. Feel free to bring cat or dog food or treats to donate, or an extra check to help local vets care for injured or ill animals. If you can't make it to the show but still want to donate, contact Diane, Sandi, or Gloria!

4711 N. Dallas Road
West Richland
12:30 PM (Game time: 1:05 PM)
Here's something new we're going to try for those of us who are football fans: Once a month, let's get together, bring our favorite snack and beverage, and cheer our Seahawks on as we watch the game together.
Sue R. has reserved the recreation room at Quail Springs Apartments for our first football party on Sunday, September 22. If this proves popular, we'll do the same, monthly, October through January.
Full details and directions will be in your September Kosmos Konnector!
We are looking for people to host events in their homes or community clubhouses. It is a great way to get to know more of your Kosmos friends!
Kosmos provides the supplies (napkins, paper plates, both serving and eating utensils, and has access to two card tables and 8 chairs, if needed). Everyone brings food to share. Members need to RSVP so the host or hostess can establish a size limit for their home or community facility.
For example, we need hosts for our October Chili Feed and our February Superbowl Party. We also welcome ideas for any other activities or events you'd like to host at your home!
Please contact Sue R. or Carolyn W. if you are interested in hosting!
