LEADER'S MESSAGE

Hi, Kosmos Friends!

The 4th of July has a special meaning for me this year. Mainly this is because our country is going through so much change, and people are divided on issues involving our Democracy.

I love this country. It has offered all Americans, no matter what their color, religion, sex, and personal beliefs, the right to be their own person. Our armed services have given their lives since our country has existed to keep those rights. GOD BLESS THEM! As we celebrate this holiday, please take a moment and reflect on all those who have helped to keep our freedom.

Also, reflect on the gifts of family and friends who have made our lives a blessing too. Over the years Kosmos has helped to bring people together and build friendships. We have supported each other through good and bad times. Thank you all for enriching my life.

The 2025 General Membership Meeting and elections for leadership positions on the Kosmos Board coincide with our usual monthly happy hour and dinner at the SportsPage. We encourage as many of you as possible to attend and participate in your Club by voting, and it's not too late to be nominated for a position!

In addition to the elected Leaders, the rest of the Kosmos Board consists of several non-elected volunteers who serve as Coordinators and help with tasks under the Activities, Membership, and Newsletter Leaders. Most—but not all—of the Coodinator positions have already been filled, as follows:

COME HAVE FUN AT OUR NEXT VERY POPULAR BUNCO PARTY

Another fun afternoon of Bunco is scheduled for July 12. Bunco is a dice game with players divided into groups of four who try to score points while taking turns rolling three dice. Winners at the end of a series of games win money.

For our Bunco Parties, you need to bring $5.50 in one-dollar bills and quarters, plus an appetizer or dessert to share, and your own non-alcoholic beverage. Bottled water will be provided.

If you plan to attend, please call hostess Sue R. and let her know!

Directions: The Richland Library is located at the corner of Northgate Drive and Swift Blvd., in Richland, kitty-corner from Kadlec Hospital.

This month's Game Day is being hosted by Rosemary B. at her home in West Richland. Please bring finger food or a dessert to share, and your own beverage. A wide variety of card and board games are availabe every Game Day—or bring your favorite game to enjoy with others.

Tickets are $13, if bought in advance, for lower box seats in Section 102 along the first-base line, right above the Dust Devils' dugout. Parking is $5, and there are various food and beverage vendors (and often several food and beverage specials during the game).

If you are interested in going, please call Carolyn W. You must RSVP and pay for your ticket by July 18 for the July 29 game!

Unless you have gotten your ticket from Carolyn before the day of the game, your ticket will be held at the building to the left of the front gate. Get in the line that says, "Will Call".

Please remember to call or text Donna W. by Sunday if you plan to attend any restaurant meal in the coming week. This enables us to give a more accurate count to the restaurant so they are properly prepared for our group!

Getting together at the Benton-Franklin Fair & Rodeo on August 21! But you tickets in Section J if you want to watch the "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" rodeo with others from Kosmos that night! Details will be in your August Kosmos Konnector!
